  • Visual Direction

During a transition phase between generations, I worked end-to-end, directly with the client, to reposition the brand, develop the visual identity, and overhaul the website experience.

The brand story was of longevity, family, and community.

The audience were found to be a mixture of demographics, with one unifying attribute – living in the south west U.K.

These visuals were produced as part of the visual direction proposal document to illustrate some applications of treatments and placements of logomarks, as well as give some voice styles to help emphasise the “functional fitness” ethos of the gym.

To bolster the new positioning I produced a suite of additional graphic marks and emblems that utilised various facets of the visual direction.

The intention being that these could be used in a range of applications such as print, apparel, or interior decoration.
